No data protection officer is legally required, and none is appointed.
Hosting and server logs
The site runs on infrastructure operated by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Loading a page means Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data: your IP address, the time of the request, the resource requested, the referrer and your user agent.
The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in running the site securely and defending against attacks. Transfers to the USA rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Getting in touch
If you email or call us, we process what you send in order to answer. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(b) where your message concerns entering into an agreement.
Because the address given is a Gmail mailbox, your message is processed by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). We delete enquiries once they are resolved, unless a statutory retention period applies.
Language preference
Your chosen language is stored in your browser's local storage under
the key preferred-language, so the site opens in the same
language next time. It stays on your device, never reaches us, and
identifies nobody. Clear it any time through your browser settings.
No analytics, no tracking
No analytics tools, ad networks, social media plugins or external fonts are used. There is no profiling and no automated decision-making.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you (Article 15)
- have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16)
- have data erased (Article 17)
- restrict processing (Article 18)
- data portability (Article 20)
- object to processing (Article 21)
To exercise any of these, write to schwauses@gmail.com.
Complaints
If you believe your data is being handled unlawfully, you can complain to the supervisory authority:

Changes
This policy will be updated whenever the processing changes, for instance if a contact form or further services are added. The German version is authoritative.
